Independent agent

Cover that fits the life you actually live.

Sunday Loom is a small independent practice. We read the fine print, compare carriers you would never think to call, and explain the result in language that does not need a glossary.

What we place

Six lines of cover, written to match one household.

Most people arrive with policies bought years apart from three different places. We look at all of it together, then quote only what genuinely needs replacing.

Home & property

Dwelling, contents and liability for owners, with a rebuild figure checked against what construction actually costs this year — not what it cost at signing.

Auto & mobility

Single cars, shared households and the extra driver who just got a licence. Deductibles set where a claim would sting but not break the month.

Life & income

Term and whole life sized against the debts, dependants and years that would still be there without you. No upselling toward the biggest commission.

Renters

Affordable contents and liability cover for tenants, including the parts most leases quietly make you responsible for. Set up in a single conversation.

Small business

General liability, contents and professional cover for studios, trades and one-person shops — scaled to actual revenue rather than a template package.

Umbrella

An extra layer above your existing limits for the unlikely, expensive day. Usually the cheapest meaningful upgrade on a household's whole schedule.

How we work

Three steps, and none of them are a sales call.

You send a note, we do the comparing, and you get a written summary you can sit on for a week. Nothing is placed without your say-so.

01

A real conversation

Twenty unhurried minutes about the house, the drivers, the business and who depends on you. We ask about the things policies get wrong, not your budget first.

02

An honest comparison

We run your profile across the carriers we're appointed with and send a plain side-by-side: what each one pays, what each one excludes, what it costs.

03

A yearly re-read

Once a year we re-check the schedule against how life moved — a renovation, a new driver, a business that grew — and tell you if nothing needs changing.

The practice

Marisol Trent, and a deliberately small book of clients.

I spent nine years inside a large carrier watching good people buy the wrong policy because nobody had time to read it with them. Sunday Loom is the correction: independent appointments, a capped client list, and enough room in the calendar to actually answer the question you came with.

  • Independent by design. No single carrier owns the recommendation, so the comparison can go either way.
  • Exclusions in writing. Every quote arrives with the list of what it will not pay for, in the same size type.
  • One person on the file. The agent who wrote your policy is the one who picks up when you claim.

Before you write in

The five questions we get most.

Does a quote cost anything?
No. Quoting and the comparison summary are free, and there is no obligation attached to them. We're paid by the carrier once a policy is placed, and we tell you which carrier that is before you sign anything.
Can I switch partway through a policy term?
Usually yes. Most policies can be cancelled mid-term with a pro-rated refund of the unused premium. We'll check your specific wording first and tell you plainly if waiting until renewal is the better move.
What does "independent" actually mean here?
It means we hold appointments with several carriers rather than working for one. Nobody sets a quota for us, so a comparison can honestly end with "your current policy is already the right one."
What do you need from me to start?
To begin, just the lines you're interested in and a rough picture of the household. For a firm figure we'll ask for your current declarations page — the one-page summary at the front of your existing policy.
Do you help when it's time to claim?
Yes, and this is the part that matters. We help you open the claim, tell you what documentation the adjuster will ask for, and stay on the file until it closes. You are not handed a call-centre number and wished luck.

Tell us what you're covering.

A short note is enough to start. We'll reply with any questions we need answered before we can put real numbers next to each other.

  • First, a reply by email

Usually within two working days, with the two or three details we still need.

  • Then, a written comparison

Side-by-side carriers, with limits, exclusions and premium set out together.

  • Only then, a decision

Take the time you want. Nothing is bound until you say so in writing.

No obligation, and no quote is bound without your written confirmation.
